LA FRANCE, SC (ANDERSON COUNTY) – The operator of a moped was fatally run over by a vehicle after he fell into the roadway on Highway 187 late Thursday night, according to FOX Carolina.
The crash occurred on Hwy 187, near Lafrance Road, at about 11:10 p.m. on July 8, when 60-year-old Westminster man Victor Bernard Chapman fell off a moped and onto the road.
He and the moped were then struck by the driver of a GMC.
Chapman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
