SUMMERVILLE, SC – South Carolina Highway Patrol is now searching for a hit-and-run driver in Saturday’s fatal pedestrian accident.

This is an update to a previous post.

According to WCBD, the fatal crash happened on Dorchester Road west of Orangeburg Road on Saturday, January 23, 2021 around 12:44 a.m.

It was previously reported a 2012 Ford Edge struck and killed a pedestrian. However, SCHP now released the pedestrian was struck by a hit-and-run driver suspected of driving in a 2003 – 2004 Toyota Corolla.
