HUGER, SC (BERKELEY COUNTY) – A bicyclist was taken to the hospital after a collision in Berkeley County today, according to WCSC.

The accident occurred in Huger, which is located about 2.5 miles north of Wando, near the intersection of Brick Church Road and Highway 41 this afternoon, when a driver collided with a bicyclist.

The bicyclist, who has yet to be publicly identified, was taken to the Medical University of South Carolina for the treatment of undisclosed injuries.

The driver was not immediately reported as injured.

Authorities advised drivers to be cautious when approaching the scene, as traffic delays were likely.
