GREER, SC – Nine people were injured in a collision on East Wade Hampton Boulevard near Arlington Road on Sunday afternoon.

According to WSPA News, the accident happened because one vehicle, a Toyota Highlander, ran a red light on north Arlington Rd. As a result, a GMC Yukon struck the Toyota in the intersection. A Hyundai Elantra was hit in the accident too.

There were three people in each vehicle. One passenger from the Toyota was airlifted to a local hospital in serious condition.

Eight other people were hospitalized in unknown conditions.

The driver of the Toyota has been charged with four traffic violations.
