WINDSOR, SC – An elderly man was killed in a head-on collision on the Charleston Highway in Windsor on Saturday afternoon, according to WIS TV.

The collision happened in the 4000 block of Charleston Hwy, near Cedar Branch Road, at 2:10 p.m. on July 24, when the 93-year-old driver of a Kia minivan attempted to turn into a private drive. The driver, Windsor resident Edgar Kitchens, pulled into the pathway of a 2018 Infiniti being driven by 54-year-old Sheila Williams. The two vehicles then collided head-on.

Kitchens was taken to the hospital, and there he was later pronounced dead.

Williams was also taken to the hospital for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
