SPARTANBURG, SC – One person died in a car crash on Highway 176 near Brown Rd on Monday, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

FOX Carolina reported that the victim was 39-year-old Natalie Pickett, a resident of Spartanburg. Officials said Pickett was driving west on Hwy 176 and another driver was heading east on Hwy 176. For an unknown reason, the driver heading east crossed the center line and struck Pickett’s car.

Both drivers were taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, where Pickett died. The condition of the other driver is not known.

The crash is still under investigation.
