RICHLAND CO., SC – Seven people have been displaced after a severe apartment complex fire Sunday afternoon, reports WACH.

The fire broke out at the Austin Woods Apartment Complex on Colonial Villa Drive around 5:00 PM on July 11th. Squatters allegedly started a fire in a vacant apartment that then spread to two other units.

None of the occupants suffered injuries, but two families are now without a home. The Red Cross is assisting those affected by the fire.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is currently investigating the fire.
