ANDERSON, SC – A deputy with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office was injured in a single-vehicle accident Thursday, reports FOX Carolina.

The accident reportedly took place on Old River Road on June 24th while the deputy was responding to another deputy’s call for assistance. The deputy’s vehicle exited the roadway while their lights and sirens were on.

The deputy suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
