FLORENCE, SC – A pedestrian has died after they were struck by a vehicle while walking in the roadway Tuesday night, according to WPDE.
South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that the fatal incident took place on Dogwood Lane near Magnolia Drive around 10:40 PM on June 22nd. The pedestrian was allegedly walking in the roadway illegally when they were hit by a 2016 Nissan.
The pedestrian unfortunately died at the scene. The coroner’s office has yet to identify the victim.
The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene. They were wearing a seatbelt and suffered no injuries.
