SUMTER, SC – One person has died after a single-vehicle accident Monday morning in which the car overturned multiple times, according to ABC 4.

South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that the fatal accident occurred on North Wise Drive near West Brewington Road around 10:20 AM on June 21st. A Toyota Prius exited the roadway at high speed and flipped multiple times.

A passenger was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has yet to be identified by the coroner’s office. 

It is unclear if the driver or any other passengers suffered injuries in the accident.

South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
