HORRY CO., SC – Six people have been hospitalized after a three-vehicle accident involving entrapment in the Carolina Forest area late Wednesday morning, reports WMBF.

According to Horry County Fire Rescue, the accident took place on Highway 501 near Waccamaw Pines Drive at 11:58 AM on June 16th. 

Six people were transported to the hospital from the scene. The severity of injuries suffered is unknown.

Horry County Fire Rescue requests that local drivers and the public avoid the area as first responders clear the scene.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
