MARLBORO CO., SC – A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while walking along Highway 9 early Tuesday morning, reports WMBF.

According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the collision took place on Highway 9 near Clio Elementary School around 5:30 AM on June 8th. A black SUV collided with a woman while she was walking on the side of the road and then fled the scene. 

The woman’s condition and identity remain unknown.
