PICKENS CO., SC – A driver has died after their vehicle ran off the side of the road and collided with two houses near RC Edwards Middle School Monday night.

WYFF reports that the single-vehicle accident took place on Madden Bridge Road near RC Edwards School Road around 10:55 PM on June 7th. A Ford F-250 exited the roadway at high speed and overturned before crashing into a utility pole and two nearby homes.

The driver, who had not been wearing a seatbelt, was trapped in their vehicle following the accident. They sadly died at the scene. The coroner’s office has yet to identify the deceased.

No occupants of either home were injured in the crash.
