GREENVILLE, SC – 33-year-old Carli Brewer Soukup was struck and killed by a vehicle while riding her bike Sunday afternoon, reports WYFF.

According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the fatal accident took place on Sulphur Springs Road near the Swamp Rabbit Trail around 1:30 PM on June 6th. Soukup was riding her bicycle in the crosswalk on Sulphur Springs Road when she was struck. The vehicle then fled the scene. 

Soukup, a 5th grade teacher at Mitchell Road Elementary, sadly died at the scene.

There is currently no information regarding the vehicle involved in the accident.
