LAKE MURRAY, SC – Five people were hospitalized in a late-night boating accident on Lake Murray that caused one of the crafts to sink, according to WIS TV.

The accident happened at about 10:30 p.m. Friday, May 28, when a pontoon collided with a cabin cruiser.

Five of the six occupants of the pontoon were taken to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Two people aboard the cabin cruiser were rescued before the boat sank to the bottom of the lake. They were not injured in the accident.

Authorities continue to investigate the collision, and at this time, do not believe that intoxication is suspected in the incident.
