ORANGEBURG CO., SC – One person has died after they were ejected from their car in a single-vehicle accident Thursday evening, according to ABC 4 News.

South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that the accident occurred on I 95 near mile marker 94 around 7:40 PM on May 20th. A 2008 Dodge Ram exited the roadway onto the median where they struck a guardrail and overturned.

The driver, who had reportedly not been wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from their vehicle. They sadly succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The coroner’s office has not identified the victim yet.

South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
