GEORGETOWN CO., SC – A driver has died after they were ejected during a single-vehicle crash Wednesday evening, reports WMBF.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the fatal accident took place on Carvers Bay Road near Choppee Road around 7:00 PM on May 19th. A 1992 Honda Sedan exited the roadway and crashed into a ditch where the vehicle overturned.
The driver, who has reportedly not been wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The coroner’s office has not yet released the identity of the deceased.
