DARLINGTON CO., SC – A woman reportedly drove her car into a retention pond with two children inside the vehicle Monday night, according to ABC 15.

The Darlington County Sheriff’s Department reports that the vehicle was submerged in a pond off Lamar Highway near exit 131 the night of May 17th. Both the woman and the two children survived the accident, but it is unclear if any injuries were sustained.

The woman who had been driving the vehicle is now in custody.

The Darlington County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the accident.
