PICKENS CO., SC – A woman suffered multiple injuries after her car overturned and caught fire in a single-vehicle accident Thursday night, reports WMBF.

According to the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, police had attempted to pull over a Pontiac G6 at the intersection of Jameson Road and Wolf Creek Road on May 13th after realizing it had stolen plates. The woman driving the Pontiac accelerated onto Wolf Creek Road where the vehicle exited the roadway and overturned. The car caught fire on impact.

The woman, who was reportedly on fire as well, was able to escape the vehicle and police helped her to extinguish the flames. She was then transported to an area hospital to receive treatment.
