GAFFNEY, SC – A motorcyclist was severely injured and a passenger was killed after their vehicle collided with a Nissan Sunday, reports WYFF.

According to the Cherokee County Coroner’s Office, the crash took place on Old Georgia Highway on May 2nd. The motorcycle crashed into an oncoming 2012 Nissan after it failed to yield while turning left off the highway. Both the driver and the passenger of the motorcycle were ejected from their vehicle in the crash.

The passenger was pronounced dead upon arrival at Cherokee Medical Center. The coroner’s office has identified them as 52-year-old Tina Carol Easler.

The driver of the motorcycle was critically injured and remains in the hospital.
