JOANNA, SC – Two 14-year-old girls were killed in a tragic ATV accident Thursday afternoon, reports FOX Carolina.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle accident took place at the intersection of Pickens Street and Milton Road around 4:40 PM on April 29th. The ATV collided with a tractor trailer while crossing the intersection.
Both girls were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.
South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
