DORCHESTER CO., SC – Two people have died after a three-vehicle rollover crash involving a CARTA bus Thursday evening, reports WCBD.

According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident took place on Dorchester Road near Patriot Lane around 7:00 PM on April 29th. A 2014 Toyota Corolla ran across the median and collided with a 2016 Kia Optima. The Toyota subsequently crashed into a CARTA bus and overturned. 

The driver and passenger inside the Kia were severely injured and unfortunately died at the scene. They both remain unidentified.

The driver of the Toyota was critically injured as well and has been hospitalized.

South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the fatal accident.
