SPARTANBURG CO., SC – An infant has died and a firefighter has been injured in a house fire Friday morning, reports WYFF.

According to the Spartanburg City Professional Fire Fighting Association, a home on Arch Street caught fire the morning of April 30th. An infant was trapped inside the burning house, and a firefighter suffered burn injuries while attempting to rescue them.

The infant sadly died at the scene. There is currently no information regarding the other occupants of the home.
