PICKENS CO., SC – One person was killed and another was injured in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 178 Thursday night, reports FOX Carolina.
According to information from South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident took place on Highway 178 at Slab Bridge Road around 10:15 PM on April 22nd. An eastbound vehicle attempted to turn left on Slab Bridge Road from the highway and was struck by an oncoming westbound vehicle.
The driver who attempted to turn was critically injured and remains in Greenville Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle sadly died as a result of the accident.
South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
