HAMPTON CO., SC – One person was killed in a single-vehicle accident Monday evening, reports WYFF.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident took place on Highway 601 near Ashley Circle around 7:30 PM on April 19th. The driver of a 2010 Honda Civic lost control of their vehicle, exited the roadway, and collided with a tree.
The driver was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. They had been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The coroner’s office has not yet released their identity.
