JASPER, SC – One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on I 95 Monday night, reports WTOC.

According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident took place near the 2.5 mile marker on I 95 around 10:00 PM on April 12th. A Honda Accord and an 18-wheeler were both traveling north when the Honda struck the truck and caused it to overturn. 

The driver of the Honda died at the scene. The coroner’s office has not yet released the identity of the deceased.

The northbound lanes of I 95 reopened around 6:00 AM, but there continue to be traffic delays.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
