BERKELEY CO., SC – The driver of a moped was killed in a single-vehicle accident Thursday night, reports WCSC.

According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident took place on United Drive near Charity Church Road around 9:00 PM on April 8th. The moped exited United Drive and collided with a mailbox.

The moped driver had not been wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. They were unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner’s office has not released the identity of the deceased.
