OCONEE CO., SC – 20-year-old Caleb Griffis, a Clemson University student, has died after a two-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon, reports WYFF.

According to the Oconee County Coroner’s Office, the accident took place on Seneca Creek Road near the Seneca Creek Boat Ramp access around 3:15 PM on April 1st. Griffis had been riding his motorcycle down Seneca Creek Road when he collided with another vehicle.

Griffis had been wearing a helmet, but was severely injured. He died at Oconee Memorial Hospital on Thursday. 

South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
