SUMTER, SC – Police continue their search this week to find the truck-driver who killed 23-year-old Rebecca Brown, reports WYFF.

According to Sumter Police, Brown was reported missing on March 17th and her body was reportedly found March 23rd on the side of Highway 15 near Palmetto Street in Sumter. The autopsy indicates Brown had been struck by a tractor-trailer, and surveillance footage shows the truck driving through the area of the accident. 

Police state that the vehicle involved is a white Freightliner Cascadia without a sleeper cab. 

The accident remains under investigation by the Sumter Police and South Carolina Highway Patrol.
