LANCASTER, SC – A teen has been killed and six other people have been hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision Saturday evening, reports The Herald.

According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident took place at the intersection of U.S. 521 and Shiloh Unity Road around 7:00 PM on March 20th. A 2009 Honda sedan attempted to turn left onto Shiloh Unity Road and was struck by a 2021 Volkswagen that had been traveling in the opposite direction on U.S. 521. 

One backseat passenger of the Honda was killed. The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office has identified them as 18-year-old Saquan Crouch. 

The driver of the Honda as well as the three other passengers were injured and transported to the hospital. The driver and passenger of the Volkswagen were hospitalized as well. There is currently no information regarding the identity or condition of anyone injured in the crash.

The South Carolina Department of Public Safety continues to investigate the accident.
