BARNWELL, SC – One person was killed and another remains in the hospital after a single-vehicle accident Saturday morning, reports WRDW.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the fatal accident occurred on Fellowship Road in Barnwell around 11:05 AM on March 20th. The driver of a 1999 Toyota Avalon lost control of the vehicle before exiting the roadway and crashing into a ditch.
The passenger died at the scene of the accident. The coroner has not released their identity.
The driver was transported to the hospital from the scene. They have been identified as 23-year-old Dominique J. Banner. Their condition is currently unknown.
South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
