ANDERSON CO., SC – One person has died after a two-vehicle collision Tuesday morning, reports WYFF.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident took place at the intersection of Highway 81 and Cox Lane around 6:15 AM on March 16th. A 2018 Kia was traveling south when it veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Ford SUV. Both vehicles caught fire on impact.
The driver of the Kia was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The coroner has yet to release their identity.
The driver of the Ford SUV suffered injuries and was transported to the hospital. Their condition remains unknown.
