CHARLESTON, SC – A bicyclist has died after being struck by a vehicle that subsequently fled the scene Sunday night, reports The Charleston Press.
According to Charleston police, the accident occurred at the intersection of Rivers Avenue and Remount Road around 12:00 AM on March 14th. The driver of the vehicle fled immediately. The bicyclist sadly died at the scene.
Police later tracked down the vehicle involved in the crash, but there is no word as to whether they have been able to detain the driver.
The accident remains under investigation.
