OAKWAY, SC (OCONEE COUNTY) – A 19-year-old was killed, and his passenger was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident in Oconee County early this morning, according to FOX Carolina.

The accident happened on West Oak Highway, near Pioneer Water, at 2:27 a.m. March 13, when 19-year-old Tanner Scott Silvers lost control of his vehicle.

The car went off the side of the road before colliding with a culvert, which caused it to roll over multiple times.

Silvers died at the scene at 3:10 a.m.

His passenger was taken to the hospital for the treatment of severe wounds.
