FLORENCE, SC – One woman has died and another person remains in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle early Tuesday morning.

WBTW reports that the fatal collision took place on the 600 block of South Irby Street near a Greyhound Bus Station around 1:15 AM on March 9th. Florence Police arrived on the scene to find two pedestrians seriously injured and lying in the street. 32-year-old Jennifer Carry Burnette was pronounced dead at the scene while the other pedestrian was immediately transported to the hospital. The identity and condition of the other pedestrian is currently unknown. 

The driver sustained no injuries. There is no indication that drug or alcohol use was involved in the collision.
