HORRY CO., SC – A motorcyclist has died after losing control of their vehicle and being hit by another car early Friday morning, reports WBTW.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the fatal accident took place on Highway 17 near Palmetto Pointe Boulevard around 1:10 AM on March 5th. The motorcycle veered off the side of the road and struck the median before landing back in the roadway. Another car traveling on Highway 17 subsequently hit the motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist sadly succumbed to their injuries. The coroner’s office has yet to release their identity.
