DORCHESTER CO., SC – A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a pickup truck from behind Saturday evening, reports Count On News 2.

According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Old Beech Road in Dorchester County around 6:50 PM on February 27th. A 2015 Kawasaki motorcycle crashed into the back of a 2004 Ford F-150 while both vehicles were traveling southbound on Old Beech Road.

The motorcyclist had not been wearing a helmet and died at the scene of the accident. The coroner’s office has not released their identity yet.

The driver of the Ford did not sustain any injuries.

South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
