FLORENCE, SC – A pedestrian has died after being hit by a van while crossing a street Friday evening, reports ABC 15.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was crossing Hoffmeyer Road at the intersection of North Lakewood Drive around 7:00 PM on February 26th when a 2020 Mercedes van crashed into them.
The pedestrian was immediately transported to the hospital where they sadly later succumbed to their injuries. The coroner’s office has yet to release their identity.
South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
