LORIS, SC – Two people have sustained injuries after a two-vehicle accident in Horry County Sunday afternoon, reports WMBF.

According to Horry County Fire Rescue, the accident occurred near the intersection of Highway 19 and Highway 45. They received the emergency call and responded to the two-car crash at 12:23 PM on February 21st. 

At least one of the drivers was trapped in their vehicle following the crash, but emergency responders were able to free them. Two people were transported to the hospital from the scene. 

The identity or condition of the two injured victims has not been released. The cause of the accident remains unknown.

South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
