EASLEY, SC (PICKENS COUNTY) – A man is facing charges following an accident last night in Pickens County that led to the death of one person and the injury of two others.

According to FOX Carolina, the accident occurred in Easley on SC-183, near Hitt Road, at about 7:50 p.m. February 19, when the driver of a sedan attempted to make a left turn.

The sedan, driven by 51-year-old Shaun Kilgore, was then struck by a Cadillac SUV.

A passenger in the backseat of the sedan was taken to the hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries. Their identity was not immediately released.

The driver of the Cadillac, who also was not publicly identified, received non-critical wounds, and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Kilgore sustained undisclosed injuries in the accident.

He is being held in the Pickens County jail under charges of failure to yield the right of way, driving while uninsured, driving while his license was suspended, and an improper vehicle tag.
