ANDERSON, SC – A 46-year-old man has died after losing control of his vehicle and driving into several trees on Dobbins Bridge Road, reports Greenville News.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8 PM on February 14th, near where Dobbins Bridge Road meets Lauren Flynn Drive. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Benjamin Shyree Brown.

Brown lost control of his vehicle before veering off the right side of the road and into the trees. He was not wearing a seatbelt, and died before Medshore EMS, Fork Rescue Squad, and the Anderson County Fire Department arrived at the scene. First responders had to use the “Jaws of Life” to free Brown’s body, as he was trapped inside the vehicle. 

The Anderson County Coroner and South Carolina Highway Patrol continue to investigate the accident.
