OKATIE, SC (BEAUFORT COUNTY) – One person was killed and another was injured during a two-vehicle pin-in collision in Beaufort County early this morning, according to WCSC.

The accident occurred on Highway 170, near Lowcountry Drive, at about 1 a.m. February 13, when a Chevrolet and a Mazda collided.

The Chevy burst into flames, resulting in the death of the driver.

The other driver was trapped within the wreckage of the Mazda for a time before being taken to the hospital for the treatment of undisclosed wounds.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
