FLORENCE, SC – A motorist was injured when he drove his vehicle into a house in Florence, WPDE reports.

The station did not specify the house’s address.

South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the collision at 7:18 p.m. on February 10, 2021, and were assisted by local Fire and EMS.

The homeowner said that nobody in the house was injured in the crash, and that he was glad the driver survived the accident. He also told WPDE reports that the driver admitted to police that he had been drinking prior to the collision.

The driver’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
