GREENVILLE CO., SC – Two people were killed in a collision near Simpsonville on the afternoon of February 9, 2021.

WSPA reports that the South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to an incident at Harrison Bridge Road and New Harrison Bridge Road/Highway 542 at about 4 p.m. on Monday. They determined that a 2015 Ford SUV ran a stop sign at the intersection, where it was hit by a 2015 Ford van that had the right of way.

Emergency responders pronounced the SUV’s driver and an adult passenger dead at the scene. A four-year-old child was unhurt. The victims have been identified as the child’s parents,  29-year-old John Stephen Duffy and 30-year-old Lindsay Duffy. WSPA did not specify who had been behind he wheel.

The driver of the van was also hurt in the collision, and was taken to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. A passenger in the van was uninjured.
