COLUMBIA, SC – A fire broke out at a Wendy’s restaurant near I-77 and Garners Ferry Road on the night of Sunday, February 8, 2021.

WLTX reports that Columbia firefighters arrived on the scene at 6892 Garners Ferry Rd and quickly extinguished the blaze. Their subsequent investigation revealed that the fire had started in the building’s rooftop HVAC system.

The restaurant was closed at the time of the incident, and no one appears to have been injured. We will update this blog should that change.
