UNION, SC – A 28-year-old man was killed, and two people were taken to the hospital after a head-on collision that happened in Union early this morning, according to FOX Carolina.

The accident occurred on Whitmire Highway just after 4 a.m. on February 8, when 28-year-old Charles “Charlie” Harrison III, operating a pickup truck, crossed over the center lane and into the path of oncoming traffic.

He then collided head-on with a Jeep SUV.

Harrison died of injuries sustained during the crash.

Harrison’s passenger and the driver of the SUV were taken to the hospital for the treatment of undisclosed injuries. Their identities were not immediately released.
