COLLETON COUNTY, SC – South Carolina Highway Patrol announced a 27-year-old St. George man was arrested in the fatal hit-and-run pedestrian crash that occurred last Sunday, January 24, 2021.

This is an update to a previous post.

According to WCBD, a 41-year-old Oakman Branch man was walking near his home on US-61 when a driver hit and killed him around 10 p.m. The driver then fled the scene.

As part of their investigation, SCHP released photos and videos of the suspect and his vehicle. Harry Hysaun Britt was arrested and booked at the Colleton County Detention Center. He faces charges of leaving the scene of a collision resulting in death and driving under suspension, first offense.
