MOUNT PLEASANT, SC – Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to a semi fire on Long Point Road on the morning of Monday, February 1, 2021.

According to WCBD, the semi fire occurred on Long Point Road near the port around 7:30 a.m.

Traffic was significantly delayed in the area. Local authorities closed one lane of Long Point Road to investigate and stop the fire.

It is unclear if anyone was injured in the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
