CLINTON, SC – A person was killed, and a driver is facing charges after allegedly running a traffic signal in Clinton County on January 23, according to FOX Carolina.

The accident occurred on Highway 72 near Charlottes Road, when the driver of a 2007 Chevrolet Colorado, 67-year-old Dale B. McCall, allegedly failed to properly yield at a traffic signal.

The Colorado collided with a 2015 Lincoln Mark X SUV, causing McCall to become trapped in the crash and sustain undisclosed wounds.

McCall was extricated from the wreckage by mechanical means.

A passenger in his front seat was airlifted to the hospital, where they died of injuries sustained during the accident.

The victim has not yet been identified.

The occupants of the Lincoln were not reported as injured.

McCall has been charged with failing to obey a traffic signal.
