ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC – One person was killed in a head-on collision on Slab Landing Road on the morning of January 6, 2021.
According to The State, a 2008 Honda Fit was traveling north on Slab Landing Road when it traveled into oncoming traffic and hit a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado. The fatal crash occurred near Scarborough Drive at about 6 a.m. Wednesday.
It is unclear why the Honda drove crossed the center line of the road.
The Honda’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police report the person was not wearing a seat belt. They are waiting to notify the next of kin before releasing the deceased person’s identity.
The driver of the Silverado was not seriously injured.
